Last month, the Texas Water Development Board had the pleasure of visiting our impressive Southmost Regional Water Authority Plant, and we couldn't be prouder of the recognition it received!
Since 2001, NorrisLeal has proudly served as the engineer of record for this remarkable facility—the largest producing brackish groundwater treatment plant in Texas. From its initial construction in 2004 at 7.5 MGD to its expansion in 2014 to an impressive 11 MGD, this project stands as a testament to our team's dedication and expertise. It encompasses 20 wells, 15 miles of raw water collection lines, 9 miles of treated transmission lines, a reverse osmosis membrane treatment system, a microfiltration system, and a colossal 7.5 million-gallon storage tank.
This recognition is a testament to the hard work and innovation of the NorrisLeal team over the years and wouldn't have been possible without the dedication and collaboration of the Brownsville Public Utilities Board/SRWA staff and our supportive board members. We're committed to delivering cutting-edge solutions to address Texas's water needs.
Here's to many more milestones and a sustainable water future!
